Pearson Language Tests, The Financial Times, and several other companies are subsidiaries of the international media and education group, Pearson. PLT creates exams to assess the level of English of its participants. There are different versions of the language tests offered by Pearson, focusing on different fields and for various purposes. Pearson recently introduced the PTE (Pearson Test of English) Academic, for students enrolled in higher studies. The PLT also cooperates with the GMAC organization by letting groups take the GMAT at its testing centers.
